If you feel like you are again experiencing “unprecedented times,” you are not imagining it!
This election year has been dominated by events better fit for a serialized drama than a campaign for the United States presidency. But it is not fiction; it is real, and the events we have witnessed emphasize that our voices – our cause to advocate for the human rights of the unborn and other vulnerable and valuable people – are more needed than ever.
How can pro-life advocates navigate such times? With a focus on applying our shared vision and mission to our actions, as established by our dedicated board of directors. These are not just words on a page but a guide for our priorities, programs and communications.
Our Vision:
We envision a culture in Oregon that advocates for and supports life-affirming, life-saving and life-sustaining decisions.
I can imagine this culture in action; can you? What a wonderful place it would be to live in, and worth all the work and sacrifice to achieve. This vision is bigger than Oregon Right to Life.
That is why we also have a mission statement to define Oregon Right to Life’s role in pursuing our vision here in our state and in the greater pro-life movement, which is the most important human rights effort of our time.
Our Mission:
Oregon Right to Life advocates for the most vulnerable human beings whose right to life is denied or abridged under current law. We work to reestablish protection for all innocent human life from fertilization to natural death.
One of the ways we fulfill this mission is through identifying and supporting pro-life candidates.
Join me in keeping our focus on our mission. And in all of the political noise and confusion, let’s make the best choices possible in this important election.
